ISSU-3-FSM_MISMATCH_MTU???

Hi,

Last night we upgrade our cat4506 sup8, and during upgrade process of the active sup, after the standby sup have been upgraded, we noticed the following error on the console ->

%ISSU-3-FSM_MISMATCH_MTU: STANDBY:ISSU nego failed for client ISSU auth mgr client(316) entity_id 1 session 48 due to mismatch of mtu size 13 & 16

The sup upgraded correctly, it briefly displayed “runversion”,”acceptversion”,”commitversion” on the console during after each reload.

Does anybody know what this means, and does it have any underlying effect on the upgrade?

Hi Michael

This is a known issue. Software bug in IOS CSCur01407.  Not service impacting in any way. Bug is in IOS internals and was seen during internal testing. It has no functional impact.

To confirm ISSU is successful, inspect the output of

show redundancy, show redundancy history and show redundancy switchover history
