I have been able to successfully back up my LMS2.2 from the GUI, howver when I tried after installing LMS 2.2 SP3 it is failing. I did this in preparation for an upgrade to LMS 2.5 and this was a requirement so the restore wouldn't fail. Now the backup fails! I do have permission to the directories as i am a local admin on the 2k box.Here is the error;
D:/PROGRA~1/CSCOpx\bin\tar_1_13.exe: Removing leading `/' from absolute path names in the archive
D:/PROGRA~1/CSCOpx\bin\tar_1_13.exe: Cannot add file /Logs/Network/Config/Archive: No such file or directory
D:/PROGRA~1/CSCOpx\bin\tar_1_13.exe: Error exit delayed from previous errors
ERROR(457): Cannot create or back up tar file. Backup cancelled. Verify that you have write-access to this directory.
Backup failed: 2005/08/30 16:28:26
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was working, however it appear that the previous backups used a different executable before the installation of SP3. I don't want to continue with the upgrade until this is resolved. Also I cannot do it from a command line i get weird errors about a missing Perl module.

Any idea what is in the E:\Logs\Network\Config\Archive folder?
Is that where you are saving your device configs from within RME?
Looking at the error message you are getting, I have a feeling that the backup utility is looking for the Archive folder under the D: drive, but it resides on the E: drive

Dude you rock! That is exactly what it was. I copied that file over and it works fine. Thanks sooooo much!
