LMS 2.5 IOS import - s/w mgmnt - device locked means ????

Hai,

I have done Some IOS import as well as distribution in LMS 2.5 i am able to do this successfully and my devices are working fine .

But i am curious in knowing this.

When displaying the summary after the Import or distribution is successful.

In the beginnign of the summary it displays a line " Device locked for exclusive access"

At the end of the message " Device unlocked"

What it actually means???

Whether it mean that nobody can telnet or access this device while this job is runnning ???

Or what exact command it will put int he router prompt for this Device lock and unlock???

anybody have idea Kindly clarify this

I believe it is internal to CiscoWorks. In other words, the device cannot be used for another CiscoWorks job when it is locked.

You can still telnet to the device while it is locked.

Thanks for your inputs, further i need to know are u sure that the device can be telneted even it is locked ???

Because i am going to download an image from a router which is currently working.

Yes, I've telnetted and done show flash to see if the image was transferring.
