LMS 3.1 - temporary unresponsive devices

Hi,

Every few nights between 12-1am I get an email alert from DFM for an unresponsive device, followed about a minute later that the alert has cleared. From about 20 switches, there's 5 culprits that keep doing this, however randomly. Switches are 4510 and 3750 stacks.

HUM also fails for the generic AllCPU5minrev poller because "device might be down."

Anybody have any suggestions how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks

Clearly means that a part of your toplogy has a performance issue

.

Locate the devices in a diagram of your topology and see how the trafffic from the lms server should get to that part of the network and via which way it returns.

Check if the path has bad links by checking the interfaces for drop's, crc's, etc.

The time at which you receive an alert probably is the time when link or a device is charged more usual, (backup running)?

Cheers,

Michel
