Hello,
Is it possible to use different community strings for the SNMP set/polling and traps in Ciscoworks.
Can't find this in the documentation or the web.
So the config on the network device would look something like this:
! SNMP communities
!
snmp-server community SNMPREAD RO ! Read-Only community
snmp-server community SNMPWRITE RW ! Read-Write communicy
!
! SNMP traps
!
snmp-server host 1.1.1.1 version 2c SNMPTRAPS ! SNMP trap
In LMS I can only find to configure the port timeout and read/write community of a device.
Thanks for the assistance in advance

LMS doesn't care about the trap community string (you can configure whatever value you want on the device). However, you can certainly configure different read-only and read-write strings. This is done under Common Services > Device and Credentials > Device Management. Click the Edit Credentials button, then fill in the appropriate values for each string.
