LMS 4.1 - WebUI -- LMS Login-Page asks for Domain when IP-Address is given in URL

Hi all,

trying to access LMS 4.1 WebUI via IP-Address (https://x.x.x.x) with IE8 results

in Login-Screen asking for a Domain-Name.

As LMS 4.1 for security-reasons isn't configured in DNS this is only way to access WEB-Interface.

Using Firefox Domain-Tab will not be displayed.

With giving Domain/Hostname/... in domain-tab login will be rejected.

Are there any known workarounds for IE-Users?

first I would try to add a line for the LMS server in the clients hosts file (if you have not done yet..)

If this still does not solve the issue, try the following:

If the server is not configured in DNS I assume it has an entry in its local hosts file and it also belongs to a domain. If that is the case, try to change the line in the hosts file so that the FQDN comes before the hostname. Shutdown dmgtd and remove (or backout) the file NMSROOT/lib/csorb/NS_Ref (if it exists); restart dmgtd and test again;
