Hi All,
1. We have installed LMS 4.2. And the upgrade path we chosed
LMS 4.2 -> LMS 4.2.2 -> LMS 4.2.4
But post installation we have found from the software update page was showing the version has 4.2.2 even upgrading the version 4.2.4.
2. due to above issue,we are upgrading the patch 4.2.4 once again. but this time its taking long for the insatallation
Anti-virus is disabled, no idea why its taking much time. Kindly suggest.

Check the old LMS 4.2.4 install log. Which OS is this? Windows? Unix or appliance?
where exactly is it stuck? share the screenshot if possible.
On LMS 4.2.3 upgrade there is a known bug #
CSCui57434 Version change is not reflected after upgrading LMS 4.2.3 to 4.2.4.
It has details :
On LMS GUI 'About' uses below file for version info: /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/CVng/banner_includes.js /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/campus/banner_includes.js /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/cmapps/banner_includes.js /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/cwhp/banner_includes.js /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/cwlms/banner_includes.js /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/cwportal/banner_includes.js /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/ipm/banner_includes.js /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/rme/banner_includes.js /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/triveni/banner_includes.js /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/upm/banner_includes.js /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/vnm/banner_includes.js Problem is below files contains version as 4.2.3 even after upgrade: /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/cwportal/banner_includes.js /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/rme/banner_includes.js - change version in above files to 4.2.4. - delete contents of /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/work directory - restart Daemon Manager (see below) Windows: ------------- To Stop Daemon Manager: > net stop crmdmgtd To Start Daemon Manager: > net start crmdmgtd Please wait 15-20 minutes before opening any Ciscoworks GUI. Or if you go to CSCOpx\objects\dmgt\ready, ensure the lock file disappears then you can open the portal.
You can check if these files still shows LMS 4.2.2 on you machine.
Apart from "About" please check what version does it shows :
Admin > System > Software Center > Software Update

It would be good if you could check it once, as the installation has already been completed once. You should share the install log for checking if any errors occured.
Shorten your env variable for temp. To change goto : Start > run > type sysdm.cpl > goto Advanced > Environment Variables > under Temp and tmp make common smaller dir like c:\Temp :
Make sure you are logged in as local admin account not from domain OR a local account member of administrators group.
-Thanks
