LMS 4.2.5 Support for Cisco 7718 and 56128 switches

Recently upgraded our network and have Cisco 7718 and 56128's in the environment. We have Cisco Prime 4.2.5 running. I have tried to add these devices to the inventory. They keep showing up as unknown devices. I have ran the device update for all packages and they still are not identified. If I open the device properties and try to select the device type manually the platforms are not even listed under Data Center Switches. See attachment.

Are these devices not yet support on Prime LMS 4.2.5?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Andy,

these devices doesn't seems to be supported in LMS 4.2.5.

check the below supported list :

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/4-2-3/device_support/table/lms423sdt.html

You can also share the "snmpwalk on this OID "1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2 " for these devices and I can verify it

Thanks-

Afroz

On the 7718 I get cevChassis.1352 and on the 56128's it is cev.Chassis.1409.

Yes it looks like they arent supported. Not sure if there are plans for adding support since these devices are fairly new.

Thanks.

The 7718 (or any of the 7700 series) isn't in the latest Nexus 7000 update (as of this posting it was version 10.0 released 3 July 2104). Reference. That's a bit surprising since they've been shipping since last year.

The 5672 was just added in the 13 August package update. (Reference) It looks like the 56128 isn't quite there yet. I'd guess it'll be out in the next 30-90 days.
