Hello, I keep receiving below alert from LMS:
EVENT DESCRIPTION = OutOfRange::Component=TEMP-1.1.1.1/21856 [module-5 QEng1Sn2(s11)-module-5 QEng1Sn2(s11)];ComponentClass=TemperatureSensor;ComponentEventCode=1079;HighThreshold=40.0 DEGC;Status=OK;CurrentValue=41.0 DEGC;RelativeTemperatureThreshold=20.0 %;entS
NOTIFICATION ORIGINATOR = Fault Management Module
From the alert, i understand that the high threshold is set to 40, but when i checked on N7K i found that this threshold is set differently.
N7K# sh environment temperature
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Module Sensor MajorThresh MinorThres CurTemp Status
5 QEng1Sn2(s11) 115 105 41 Ok
Can someone give me insight why this is happening? I assume the device (N7K) will only send the traps only if the temperature exceeding the predefined value which is 105. Now I'm receiving this alert for almost 2000 alert per day. I tried increase the RelativeTemperatureThreshold from 10% to 20% but does not help.
Thnak you

I asked the TAC engineer, and here is the work around from them:
To solve this issue , please try the below :
1. Stop daemon manager : net stop crmdmgtd
2. Take a backup of oid2type_cisco.conf file (progra~2\CSCOpx\objects\smarts\conf\discovery\oid2type_cisco.conf)
3. Modify the entry for Cisco Nexus 7000 in oid2type_cisco.conf file (progra~2\CSCOpx\objects\smarts\conf\discovery\oid2type_cisco.conf) as shown below
# Cisco Nexus 7000
.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.612 {
TYPE = Switch
VENDOR = Cisco
MODEL = N7K-C7010
CERTIFICATION = CERTIFIED
CONT = Cisco-EntityRF-Switch
HEALTH = Nexus-Entity-EntSensor
BRIDGE = Cisco
NEIGHBOR = Cisco-Cdp
INSTRUMENTATION:
Environment = CiscoEntityFRU:DeviceID
Card-Fault = CiscoEntityFRU:DeviceID
CPU/Memory = CiscoSystem:DeviceID
Interface-Fault = MIB2
Interface-Performance = MIB2
Port-Fault = MIB2
Port-Performance = MIB2
}
4. Start daemon manager : net start crmdmgtd
5. Remove, re-add and rediscover the device.

Additional info related to my first post:
I noticed this problem only affecting Nexus 7000 Supervisor module-1X.
And I'm running NX-OS 6.0(2)
