Have you checked this page?

It is probably that IE prevents the site from doing what it needs to do.
Make the site of your ciscoworks server is a trusted site, and that you don't go there via the proxy but direct.

Hi,
The IE version is 8.0.6001.18702
The ciscoworks is trusted site! We use certificate. The IE shows the following
And finally we set off the proxy settings. ( After upgrade from LMS 3.2 we used the proxy settigns without any problem )
I have no more idea what could i do! i delete the java, temporar files , caches etc.

Actually, if you can download the jnlp then all should be fine.
Afterwards when the java webstart is started the whole thing is independed of the browser.
Can you make IE just download the file?
Then in the explorer open the downloaded file with the java webstart.

Hi,
When i tried it with IP address instead of hostname it was well!
the client sent the alerting because of download but after i accept it, everything works well.
https://10.42.10.227/campus/topoLaunch.do?navid=topoLaunch
There are no certificate problem but it is not working with hostname!
The client hosts file contains the 10.42.10.227 "ciscoworks" entry.
Any idea??

No sorry,
I have no idea how this could work in FF and not work in IE, or only work when using the IP address in IE.
The FF browser will work faster with LMS then IE.

Michel

Karoly,
I don't know what is happening on the PC but the topology for FF, IE or any other browser runs in a separate javaws.exe.
You can close the browser. It has no relation with that.

Michel

I think the problem is about certificate. I continue to search!!!
