Hi,
This is our story:
We bought the upgrade license from LMS 2.x to 2.5, and we got the license file from cisco by prociding the PAK number. On a fresh server (no LMS 2.2), after installation of Common Services, we started to install RME. At the very beginning of the installation of RME, a window poped out asking for license. We used the license file and got error message "the license file is corrupted, try to get a valid license file".
So, instead of using license file, we just used PAK and PIN to finish the installation. As expected, when we tried
to use RME, we got the message "This software is provided for evaluation purposes only and will be operational for 90 days." So, we insert the CD of old version RME (from LMS 2.2) and ran the validateupgrade script, and it succeed. Then we go to Common Services -> Server -> admin -> licensing, and use the license file to update. Again, the same message "the license file is corrupted, try to get a valid license file".
Our 2003 operating system is installed on drive C:/, the LMS is installed on drive F:/, and the license file is in
folder F:/LMSLicense. Can this cause our problem? Should we put the license file in C:/LMSLicense ? In fact, we also put license file in C:/LMSLicense and updated from Common Services -> Server -> admin -> licensing, but we got the
message that the casuser cannot access the file. How can we make it accessible to casuser?
We opened a TAC and got a new lincese file, but we still have the same problem. The TAC told us that we needed a full version license and the we should install LMS in the default folder. We do not think we need a full license since we have the old license and the upgrade lincese.
Any help?
Thanks a lot.

Try this
Delete the current license files, add them again and validate your upgrade:
1)Open the Command Line Interface (CLI) and issue the # pdterm LicenseServer command
2)Go to CSCOpx\etc\licenses and delete all *.lic files.
Note: LMS***.lic file should not be copied to this directory directly. If it is there, move it to some other directory.
3)Issue the pdexec LicenseServer command.
4)Update the LMS**.lic file from the User Interface (UI). Go to Server > Admin > Licensing.
5)validate the upgrade:
CSCOpx\bin\validateupgrade

Thank you for the reply. It turned out that the license file WAS corrupted. The last digit of the license file was trunked by our mail server, which is very strange.
