LMS preventing broadcast storm

Hello,

we have previously faced network issues forced by excessive broadcast from one connected PC.

Normally I would prevent this problem with setting storm-control broadcast level on access ports, but the linecards (

WS-X6148A-GE-TX) are too old and they don't support broadcast/multicast suppression.

Our LMS 3.2 collects port statistics and can report excessive broadcast on ports, but is there some way how to configure LMS to automatically shutdown/disable port which reach the broadcast threshold?

I'd think this would be a job better suited to Embedded Event Manager - EEM.

It will have some IOS dependencies (i.e., this link) but is best for things like this that are restricted to an individual port on a device.
