discovery learns the existence of a device from the cdp cache of a neighbour device; however, the address choosen as the managemet address is determined by the settings in
Campus Manager>Administration> Device Discovery >Discovery Settings
so after discovery has finished you should see the device with the choosen management address in the discovery report
after data collection has gone over the device all interfaces are know to LMS
