Hello
I have LMS 4.0.1 on a Win2003 server SP2
It is impossible to see faults with DFM.
When I go to Fault monitor menu, I have the massage : "Sorry an error occured"
Allthoug the Device Status is "Known" in the "Fault monitoring device admin"
I tried to reinitialize the 3 DFM DataBase.
Also there is a process which never starts "EPMserver"
Each time I try to restart it , il have an error in file "EPMserver.log":
"Exception in thread "main" log4j:ERROR Could not connect to remote log4j server at [localhost]. We will try again later."
Could you please help me.

Hi Michel ,
Are you using chrome ? which browser you are using ?
Can you try Internet Explorer and see how it work.

•Firefox 8.0 and 9.0 for Windows
Note Only 32-bit IE and FF browsers are supported

Yes I used IE.
But I think that a process doesn't start ( EPMserver) is not related to the Client browser.

Hi Michel,
You have already re-init the DFM database but I think you have not removed the dfm.RPS files.
try to re-init again as given below:
==================================
. Stop the Daemon Manager.
. Execute the following command from CLI:
NMSRoot \bin\perl NMSRoot \bin\dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmInv dmprefix=INV
NMSRoot \bin\perl NMSRoot \bin\dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmFh dmprefix=FH
NMSRoot \bin\perl NMSRoot \bin\dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmEpm dmprefix=EPM
. Delete the DFM.rps, DFM1.rps file from
NMSRoot/objects/smarts/local/repos/icf/
. Start the daemon manager.
Hope this resolve the issue.
Thanks-
Afroz

Hi Afroz,
Indeed, I follow the complete procedure, and I also delete the 2 files mentionned.
