Hello,
I get in problem with this new behaviour of LMS4, that tries to discover CDP enabled IP phones as devices. We still want to see them in UT only.
But the main problem is, we have an SNMPv3 configured network, IP phones are not SNMP configuerd and this will slow down the overall discovering dramaticly unless you configure IP exception ranges. But we've got a lot of phone IP- ranges and the discover filters will be too large in this manner.
So I want to ask:
1. Is there a global setting (or a patch providing this setting) to avoid IP phone discovering at CS/DCR level?
2. Where can I find all the Sysobid's of cisco IP phones (field is empty in supported devices list) to can setup up a SysObjID discover filter for phone exclusion. Hint for product development: with an additional filter type of SysDescr you will reach more configuration flexibility. In this ex. with "^SEP.*" you could exclude all phones with one easy filter.
thx in advance for your hints, Steffen

You can edit NMSROOT/conf/csdiscovery/system-config.xml, and add the CDP IDs of the device
Make a backup before you start ediitng
Cheers,
Michel
