No, that's not possible.
Often you can ascertain what equipment is is if you have an adjacent device running Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP). Most Cisco devices have CDP on by default although some people turn it of in an effort to practice "security by obscurity".
There is also the standards-based Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) although that is less often seen as it is not on my default and more for interoperability with third party products.
FYI, Cisco firewalls (ASAs and PIXs) do not speak CDP or LLDP.
One other option is to nmap scan the device using a full scan. Sometimes you can get device info from that - especially if SNMP hasn't been properly configured and allows queries using the "public" string.
