Hi
I have a doubt regarding MIBs. I dowloads the MIBs for Cisco 4503 for a specific IOS. But the folder is divided by v1 and v2.
What does it mean v1 and v2? The version of SNMP?
So if I enable just SNMP Trap (''snmp-server enable traps.....'') I should use MIBs v1 but if I enable also the number of Retries and Timeout ( ''snmp-server inform retries...'' and ''snmp-server inform timeout...'') I sould use MIBs v2.
Am I right?
Thanks

Hi Andrea,
V1 and V2 denotes for SNMP version V1 and V2.
You are right with your understanding with the commands. I would suggest to compile both the variants of the MIBs and your system (NMS) would interpret the trap messages of both types as and when they come up to it.
