Migrating Prime Infrastructure to Smart Licensing.

My customer is running PI 3.7.0 and is using Traditional licensing. We need to move them to Smart licensing so that they can consume about 1700+ PI Lifecyle/Assurance licenses in their SA account. However, I want to make sure that when we change PI to Smart licensing we don't lose all their existing traditional licenses. Is that possible? If so how do we ensure those Traditional licenses are not lost? Thanks.

traditional licenses remain present in the customers cisco account,
plus they are also stored on your network device (primed by Cisco on the device or transfered as a license file)
-> they cannot get lost by changing the licensing mode of PI to SmartLicensing

if desired your customer can also retrieve all license files from their Cisco account and store them in a safe place
