Hello,

I need your help regarding the  steps and method to migrate a current Prime Infra (VM) version 3.2 to the last version 3.8,

I also need to know if the licenses will automatically be switched to the new version 3.8? and How time the migration can take ? the prerequisites for the hardware ?

Thank you,

Best Regards,

 - Licenses will be no problem, for the rest you need to study the Release Notes for targeted version including Upgrade guides and or instructions. Take into account that  this forum  w.r.t to the first 'tools'  mentioned , can not be considered                             as being authoritative.

Hello Marce,

thank you for your response ,

Can you please confirm these steps :

1- In-Line migration from version 3.2 to version 3.4

2- In-Line migration from version 3.4 to version 3.6

3- Make a data backup from version 3.6

4- Deploy a new VM in version 3.8

5- Restore the data on the new VM in 3.8

I need also the time that the migration takes?

Thank you again,

Best Regards,

 - Yes, that is as good as correct, the issue being that 3.8 incorporates a new version of the underlying Linux(Redhat), therefore a new VM must be deployed and restore backup from Prime 3.6
