NAM Ver 4.X Upgrade Issue

Hi,

I have WS-SVC-NAM-2 with version 3.x and 1G Memory. I would like to upgrade it to version 4.x. I saw at the release notes that Cisco is recommending to upgrade the memory to 2G in order to maximize the NAM performance.

I need to understand if the memory upgrade is essential to the version upgrade or I can upgrade now without the additional memory and later add the memory for maximizing the performance.

It's just a recommendation, not a requirement but it will improve performance and scalability of the NAM.
