Hello!
Now I'm using MRTG for monitoring network statistics.
Unfortunately, it seems to be not flexible and convenient for use.
For example, the arrangement and output of the graphics on the webpage need making changes in configuration files and html.
I'm looking for, perhaps, more comfortable interface for working with rrdtool, that should provide features like:
- restricted web-access (mrtg has)
- web-based gui for configuring mrtg config file and for stat points.
- quick search of graphics stats by name/lable, box(router/switch), interface
- ability to arrange two or more graphs (daily, weekly, monthly etc.) of different stat points on one page for comparing.
What software can you suggest (free or commercial) for this ?
Thanks,
wbr, Alex.

Dont know how much effective would this be as per your requirements, but CNA (Cisco Network Assistant) worths a mention as well.
A PC-based network management application, Cisco Network Assistant is optimized for wired and wireless LANs (WLANs) for growing businesses that have 40 or fewer switches and routers. By using Cisco Smartports technology, the application simplifies configuration, deployment, and ongoing management and maintenance of Cisco networks. It provides a centralized network view and allows network administrators to employ its features across Cisco switches, routers, and access points. Cisco Network Assistant is available at no cost and can be downloaded from the Cisco Network Assistant Software Download.
Cisco Network Assistant simplifies many common networking activities. Using an intuitive GUI, users can easily apply common services across Cisco switches, routers, and access points, to facilitate:
>Configuration management
>Troubleshooting advice (Catalyst Express 500 Series)
>Inventory reports
>Event notification
>Network security settings (Catalyst Express 500 Series)
>Task-based menu
