Nexus 7K Sup Mod Online Diag Status Fail

My Nexus 7K Sup module status shows fail but the module is active. I am trying to redo the diagnosis but can seem to get the command to work on the NX-OS. I have shared the show commands below.

Kindly advise if any of you come across such situation. The Online Diag Status  shows fail, but the module is active. How I can restore it with out a reboot?

Solved!!! I had to get on the management VDC and redo the tests and it all worked.

how do you redo the test?  can it be done online?  my sup module is showing the same failed state.

Get on to the Management VDC and run the "diagnostic clear result" the run the diagnostic test again [non-disruptive]. Then you should get a "pass" result unless it really failed.

I do the command , but the problem is always still there ,

Mod  Online Diag Status
---  ------------------
7    Fail

i changed the Module with a new one ==> problem always there

i Changed the slot on the switch ==> problem always there

do you have an idee ?

best regards

We upgraded, seemed to solve the issue as it has not recurred. Did not need hardware replacements, even though they sent a chassis.

This post is already 5years old, but I can´t find any working solution.

After the diagnostic test the module shows "pass" but went to fail after short time again.

Mod Ports Module-Type Model Status --- ----- ----------------------------------- ------------------ ----------

1 48 1/10 Gbps Ethernet Module N77-F348XP-23 ok

2 48 1/10 Gbps Ethernet Module N77-F348XP-23 ok

5 0 Supervisor Module-2 N77-SUP2E active *

6 0 Supervisor Module-2 N77-SUP2E ha-standby

7 24 10/40 Gbps Ethernet Module N77-F324FQ-25 ok

8 24 10/40 Gbps Ethernet Module N77-F324FQ-25 ok

Mod Online Diag Status --- ------------------

1 Pass

2 Pass

5 Pass

6 Pass

7 Pass

8 Fail

Did someone found another workaround?
