Hello All,

Trying to add dell switches to prime 3.1, the switches are S6000-ON want to monitor the utilization of one of the interface.

I have the MIB last one the list .zip

https://www.force10networks.com/CSPortal20/KnowledgeBase/Documentation.aspx

On prime
Monitor / Monitoring Tools / Monitoring Policies>

custom mib

upload mib

Maybe Dell MIB files not compatible with cisco prime?  as other Cisco MIBs work fine.

Thanks for any info

Hello Estimated,

I think Prime is adding support for specific devices in the new versions but like you said the hole support is for Cisco devices.

Estimated,

I think your switch is not supported by Prime, you can review the devices compatibles with you version here https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/prime/infrastructure/3-1/supported/devices/PI31-Supported-Device-List.xlsx

Thanks Diana for the reply.

Yes i don't see any Dell switches or any other non-Cisco.

Prime discovered all my dell switch with the SNMP string.  I can do a SNMPwalk via Prime, but will not gather any info from it via the PRIME GUI ie interface utilization/bandwidth.

So i am thinking maybe i wasting my time on Prime as we have a mixed vendor environment.

Thanks for any info
