Hi,

I am trying to install LMS 4.0 from the installation DVD on a server w2008R2 with the patch but the setup seems very long.
Is this normal?

Furthermore how do you install the license, I just a sheet with the Product Authorization Key.

Thanks, it's my first installation LMS.

Hi There!

Welcome to the world of CiscoWorks! It can take a while to install but that all depends on how long you term "very long".

As for the license the following link should give you what you need:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/4.0/user/guide/admin/server.html#wp1167147

Basically you use the PAK key on the paper to generate the .lic license files from Cisco.com. The link above also shows how to get the licenses into LMS once it's up and running.

Hope that helps,

Tim

Thanks for the licence it's ok.

For installation, he said, he needs 150 minutes to finish copying the files and it's been 60 minutes it is over.
