Ping Latency to C3850

Hello,

I have Layer 3 switch C3850. There is a ping time latency 2 ms to my switch c3850.

I have already done the factory reset default.

While there is no configuration switch, assign ip to a VLan1, assign ip to my laptop with same subnet.

And connect directly to the c3850 switch.

But there's still 2 ms issue when I ping to c3850.

Could you please help what was wrong?

Thanks

Can someone help me please?

Hi,

Did you resolve this or get any answers on.  I get the same results pinging our 3850's, mainly fluctuates between 2/3ms locally.  If you ping a machine on the same switch you should get 1ms.

I've always assumed or picked up from somewhere that ping speeds to Cisco switch's should not be relied upon, icmp has a low priority?  Don't know where I heard this, may of even dream't it, would be keen to hear if you actually found out why this was?

Best,

Bumping this one up.

Does anyone know how to make ping/icmp traffic a priority when pinging a cisco 3850 switch?  I really need to know the latency we have to a few of these switchs.
