I hope I win a good prize for this. I personally think FCAPS is just something similiar to ITIL. Something to aim for but don't waste too much money on it. The definitions don't actually fit well with the many documented FCAPS models.
1: Security
2: None of the above in my opinion.
3: Fault Monitoring
4: Configuration
5: Performance or Accounting.
The first depends on your viewpoint. AAA means authentication, authorization, and accounting. Go figure. People use it for security.
The second has nothing to do with FCAPS unless you are trying to get stats for network performanace and therefore, accounting.
The fifth also means you need accounting to ensure there is adequate usage for users.
Who said it was simple.
