Port channels are bundled interfaces with a given number. Therefore each separate port channel require a different number. However multiple interfaces can be used with the same port channel number to bundle them together.

Port channel/Ether channels are the same. Some Cisco products name them port channels and others name them etherchannels.

thanks for the responde

but if Port channel and Ether channels are the same so why in the configuration there is "int port channel ID" (for portchannel) and  "channel-group ID mode on" (for etherchannel)

by the way do recommend to give the same ID to Port channel and to Ether channels

sorry if these question a bit stupid i just want to be sure what im doing

You can’t create ether channel with same ID’s on same switch and to the connected Switch.

It’s like your virtual interface where you are adding multiple physical interfaces.
