Port losing connection at same time

Starting on 1/2 the port connected to our MPLS started losing packets. We have a Nagios server that is monitoring the port and alerts us around the same time everyday. We have not made any changes to our network in several months.

I have disabled DTP on the port from reading some other forum posts and the problem seemed to go away. From 1/6 to 1/9 it did not happen. It started back up today.

I have spoke with our MPLS provider and they have not seen any errors on their side.

Post the complete output to the command "sh interface <PORT>".

as Leo said, you need to share that output. through that we can see if there any drops, error of packets.

Please rate this and mark as solution/answer, if this resolved your issue
Good luck

Hello,

what alert is Nagios actually generating ? And what are you running (XI/Fusion/Log Server/Network Analyzer) ?

Nagios is running a ping against the port and is sending Ping Critical - Packet loss between 60% and 80%. Then it will say recovered. Then do it again like 2 hours later.

Hello,

what are you pinging, the remote end ? We need the output of 'show interfaces x' where 'x' is the port that has packet loss.

Here is the running config for the Port

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/18
description LINK_TO_LS_NETWORKS_NID
switchport trunk native vlan 25
switchport mode trunk
switchport nonegotiate
end

Was able to get this resolved. It was a bandwidth problem with our MPLS.
