Hello,
I've upgraded from Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.2 to 1.3, the upgrade process ran without any errors. Now I've tested the image distribution and it fails always and I get these error messages when Prime has to "Erase Flash Before Distribution". (the distribution runs successfull if I delete the old *.bin before executing the SWIM Distribution job.)
CPI system is the virtual appliance.

Any ideas or suggestions ?

Hi Bastian:
Based on these error messages, it looks like perhaps the files Prime Infrastructure is allowing itself to delete isn't quite extensive enough. This might be a good one to open a TAC service request on to be looked into more closely. The upgrade 1 for Prime Infrastructure 1.3.0.20 addressed one or two software distribution issues (doesn't look like anything of this nature), but would be a good idea to run, if for nothing more than smaller backups.
Release Notes for Update 1 for Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.3.0.20

Hello Rollin,
I'm going to install the the update1 tomorrow. I also figured out that "Config Deploy"-jobs fail with the message "Failed In CA backup before deploy".

Did you get the issue resolved with the update? I am having the same issue
09-10-2013 05:16 AM
Hello Shomar,
installing the Update 1 (PI_1_3_0_20-Update.1.12.tar.gz) did finally not fix it
The first bug I hit was :
Changed the driver on VMWare from VMXNET3 to E1000 (VMXNET3 driver came with PI1.2 [upgrade from PI1.2 to PI1.3] in PI1.3 it is already the E1000 in use)
The second one was: CSCui04108 PI: Image distribution fails due to insufficient space
Workaraound: Delete the old IOS and re-run the SWIM job.
Should be fixed in PI 2.0.
The third one was: CSCui39717 PI 1.3 SCP to TFTP fallback for Image distribution (SWIM) is failing
Changed the "Image transfer protocol order": 1. TFTP 2. SCP
Should be fixed in PI 2.0.
