Prime infrastructure 3.2 server backup failed (PI on VM, Standalone)

Trying to backup via SFTP.

getting an error message "a backup or restore is already in progress"

Work Performed

-- NCS restarted

--Removed configured SFTP from Prime running config, Re-added the SFTP config

-- Upgraded to latest 3.2 device pack, Patch

-- No luck

- Try ncs stop (stop prime); followed by becoming root after ssh login by admin user (commands are shell ..., sudo -s) ; then issue : find / -name '*.lck' -print and or find / -name '*.lock' -print. And delete these files. Reboot afterwards, check if the problem persists.
