Privilege level

gornication
Level 1
Level 1

Hello!

So. I created a test privilege level and then tried deleting it, but something went wrong ...

switch1(config)#do sh run | i privilege
username admin privilege 15 secret 5 $1$fTue$G09kULQtxRfTCyhPHLyzm1
username test privilege 5 secret 5 $1$9oFb$ccZe0o1CsXLUcZ8BOnp1w0
privilege interface level 5 description
privilege interface level 5 no description
privilege interface level 5 no
switch1(config)#no privilege interface level 5 no description

switch1(config)#no username test
switch1(config)#do sh run | i privilege
username admin privilege 15 secret 5 $1$fTue$G09kULQtxRfTCyhPHLyzm1
privilege interface level 15 description
privilege interface level 15 no description
privilege interface level 0 no

..and I can't delete these 3 lines now. The list of available commands was not affected, мaybe because I also enter the enable password.

What happened and why?

what 3 lines Green one ?  Make sure you admin user has enough privileges - if no you going to lockout yourself. then you need to follow reset procedure, which require more work and down time.

Privelege 5 config is gone, you have only 15  or am i missing something here ?

Thank you for responding.
This is to make it easier to see which config lines belong to the corresponding level of privileges, apparently I tried in vain.

In general, privilege command did not affect the capabilities of the test level 5 and the 15th team.

Do you mean resetting the config? Resetting the config to delete 3 lines that appeared for reasons I do not understand .. This method is known to me.

I may be missundestood here or let me correct it here.

I can't delete these 3 lines now   - what exactly you trying to do please explain.

what is the issue you trying to solve ?

There was no problem. I'm wondering why something appears in my config by itself, and so that later it cannot be deleted.
What exactly happened I described in the first message. Command no does not delete these lines.

If

no privilege <mode> level <level> <command>

does not remove

privilege <mode> level <level> <command>

try

privilege <mode> reset <command>
