Hi All,
after installing lms 4.2 i got some errors, for example:
ERROR: You are trying to install on unsupported local.
ERROR: Failed to authenticate [cmf] database.
ERROR: Failed to start Database 'cmf' becasue: Database engine 'cmfEng' could not be started on database 'cmfDb' in Bulk mode.
and its the same error mesg' for every database,
can someone help me,

I have seen manu unsupported issues which sooner or later has to go through re-install, so I would prefer that to have your LMS flourish for longer in future.
You can change the locale from control panel to English(US). Sometimes even when the locale is set to this, some registry entries are corrupt which can have LMS behave like this.
It is safe to check them as well :
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\International]
"Locale"="00000409"
"LocaleName"="en-US"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International]
"Locale"="00000409"
"LocaleName"="en-US".

LMs is supported only in US(English) and Japanese locale. If you are trying to install in another OS with a different locale, it will give these errors.

Can i change it after the installtion or do i need to re-install the LMS?

Hi Vinod,
first sorry for misspelling your name,
my OS is En (US) by default i just add the second language, my Q. is if i remove it the second language should it impact the LMS?

after i cahnged the locale i cahcked the registry entries and i found out that first is not US but the seconed is US, is that OK?

I can't say, but a installation usually once corrupt due to any reason would always act as sore, with one or the other issues.
Its is good to invest sometime now to reinstall the LMS again. You can run the re-install directly w/o uninstalling. It hardly takes 15-20 mins.
I have seen people re-installing in later phase of their setup, after months or years, when there is some issue which does not have any easy fix and TAC directly points incorrect installation and will refuse to provide any fix further.
