Problems with LMS 4.2 and topology services

Hello i cant get topology services to work if my life so depended on it.

I tried from the server that LMS is running on, Win7 clients, chrome, firefox and IE Browsers.

On all of the above i get the following error

topology.JPG

I try to reload browser and even machine but when i try again it ends up with the same error message.

Any ideas on this?

Probably it is showing successful, but many times it is not able to copy the three files shown in the lib/endorsed dir.

Check your clients, directory if all the files are copied properly.

Example mine is :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.6.0_22\lib\endorsed.

If the files are missing copy them from the server directly here and try to run the topology.

-Thanks

Hummm interesting.

I didnt have thoose files but it still dosent work even though i placed them in the endorsed catalog manually.

Any more ideas?

Make sure the 'user' that runs the browser, can write to that drectory.

I'm not sure what this means in sense of network security, but thedirectory needs write permission for topology to work.

Cheers,

Michel

Hummmm interesting.

My user account has full rights inherited.

Tried giving full rights explicit  to the account itself but still dosent work.

Is there some log i can check in and some recomended Java version?

I had the same issue. Even though my account was part of administrators group, I couldn't change the attributes of endorsed folder! I then changed the attributes of users group and gave full access and now Topology Services is working perfectly!

I am running Win7 by the way.
