I'm trying to get QinQ working on Nexus 3000. After testing with our service provider we determined that issue is with Nexus3064.
I have attached a drawing showing how everything is connected and port config. And one thing i'm trying to do is to strip away outer vlan on the same device. That's why there is a hairpin going from port 1/30 to port 1/29.
SW01
eth 1/44 is facing our provider.
eth 1/30 is null port (dot1Q-tunnel. QinQ)
eth 1/29 is a trunk port with inner vlans
SW02
4/5 - trunk port with inner vlans
This switch is connected to Provider CPE's null port (dot1q-tunnel, QinQ)
I can see MAC addresses being exchanged, SW01 sees mac address coming from SW02 and back, but can't get ping to go through.
Did any one ever try to strip outer tag using a hairpin on the same switch? It looks like a sound solution, but I might be missing something or maybe this should not work in the first place.
