Hello everyone

 

I just upgraded my lab with nexus switch

I need to find out if I can UPLINK CISCO SG500-52 to NEXUS 3064-X to 5G trunk port with 5G speed

if possible with fiber optic transceiver

Yes it is possible. 5Gbps SFP are supported on the model you have:

SG500-52

48GE + 4 GE (5G Stacking)

48 GE

2 combo GE + 2 1G/5G SFP

I understand but what transceiver I have to use I tried with stack cable coax but it doesn't work at my home lab I used the stack cable connected to a 10Gtek Broadcom BCM57810S PCIe card to uplink my server to a SG500-52 switch but it didn't work Do you know Why? I told I can get 5G uplink might be wrong about that PCIe card because is SFP+ and this stack port is SFP Any advice ?
