Reset Fex Configuration

Hi,

I wanted to know if it was possible to power up a N2K-C2248 and be able to clear any pre-installed config from a previous N5K that had been previous connected to?

We are trying to re-deploy Fex's on N5K's that are in production with a lower NX/OS on them than the N5K the Fex was previously connected to and we are unable to bring the Fex online. The Engineers are telling me this is because it still has a configuration on the Fex of a more recent OS

We are unable to upgrade the older N5K at this time, so that option isn't available.

Assuming the NX-OS on the older 5k supports that model of FEX and the switchport is set to fex mode, it should downgrade the image on the FEX as required.

What is your exact model of FEX and NX-OS version?
