Restoring An ASA 5508x Config

I want to remove the failover function of two ASA's. Later, I want to put them back into failover mode. can the easy way be to just restore the startup config, or will that cause problems? Do I have to go through all the setups as if I was setting up the failover first time?

  - Depends on what is done with the boxes in between, if any changes are made, you will also have to pay attention to restoring the correct fail-over settings  :
