RME 4.0.5: Syslog Records - Default purge job

Does this indicate a corruption in the db? Maybe that's why my db backup has been getting much bigger after each day.

The other thing which takes up a lot of DB space is Change Audit. The Change Audit records can become incredibly verbose, especially inventory chnages. You can reduce the number of Change Audit records created by configuring inventory change filters under RME > Admin > Inventory > Inventory Change Filter. Check the objects you do not care about.

Also note that purging does not reduce the size of the database. The only way to do that is to unload the database, then reload the data into a new DB file. This will "fill in" all the holes created by the various purge processes. This procedure can be dangerous, and is only available by calling the TAC.
