Router/Switch Configuration Generator

I need to generate the configuration for around 4000 routers and 4000 switches. Is there any software or scrip which can help me to generate the automatic configuration for all.

I have never come across anything like that. I have found perl to be invaluable for this type of situation

Scripting of some sort is probably the best, if not only, practical answer. More important, in my opinion, is the process supporting it. Figure out what you want standards wise - single image to the extent hw supports it, common global and security factors. It could possible be pushed out via CW; most people would agree that a local script might better suit your needs.

Maybe a mail merge might get you out of trouble if Perl scripting isn't your thing..... I'd be guessing there would be a fair amount of mucking around to get it right.
