In it, I mention RANCID as a tool that does what you appear to be asking for. CiscoWorks RME does as well, as part of a greater toolset (US$20,000 list price). RANCID is open source - free to download. Both tools have a cost of ownership in time invested and the need to master their functions (in addition to a server to run them).
