Hi there,

I want to setup send syslog from a router(public ip) to SNMP server(private ip). I've successful setup sending syslog from another router(private ip) to snmp server(private ip). Do I need to do special configuration on firewall or router? Thank you.

 - The destination (syslog)-host must be reachable from the source, no matter what.

IF the Public required to Send Logs to Private IP, you need reachability (like you need static NAT from Public IP to Private IP on the outside of Router/ FW to get work.

Like this

Device(publicIP) ------publicip(Router/FW)----pricate IP (syslogServer)
