Serial number not generated on my Nx9k switches in Eve-ng

I have successfully deployed NDFC nd-dk9.3.2.1e.qcow2 in my Eve-ng environment. I have created my Fabric, but when I add a switch, my switch is discovered but there is no serial number on the switch, and thus cannot add it to my Fabric. How can I get the serial number generated while discovering the switch or is there a way to add it manually?

Thanks for the Eve-ng cookbook guide on deploying an NXOS in eve-ng. But I already have all my spine-leaf structure built and reachable by NDFC (that won't happen if the switches were not properly deployed). The only problem was that NDFC will discover the switch, but will not be able to extract and import info like Serial number, device status/ memory/ cpu etc.

What I did was to configure SNMP on each of my switches and now my NDFC is able to populate the serial number as well as device health features. But every document / video I have watched on EVe-NG deployment of Nexus Dashboard didn't mention that option, and I am wondering if I am not doing anything wrong especially since I have been unable to "Recalculate and redeploy"... it has been failing.
