SFP+ compatbility with SFP

Hello Team,

kindly i need your assistance as i have 2 switches okay first one is a core switch Cisco Catalyst 4507R+E with port 10G and a 10G GBIC module okay and the second switch is SG200  now i need to connect the 2 switches switch SG200 has a 1G GBIC and the core switch has a 10GBIC on port 10G is it compatible or i must change the 10G GBIC to 1G GBIC on the core switch.

Optics must always be on the same wavelength (SM-to-SM or MM-to-MM) and the same speed.

As @Leo Laohoo already noted, you need a "matched set" for the optical standards being used across a direct link.  I.e. the 1g/10g side needs a 1g transceiver if that's what other side will use.  (A SFP+ supports a 1g or 10g transceiver, but the transceivers are not dual speed.)
