Site-specific Inventory report in LMS?

Dear friends,

I managed to get an inventory report in RME for all devices in LMS 2.6.

But there is a customer who has 35 sites, and he needs a site-wise device inventory report.

I am just wondering how it is possible to achieve this in LMS.

Do i need to split the devices into 35 device groups and manually select each group and generate inventory report?

Or is there an easier way?

Just a FYI that each site is uniquely identified by the second octet of the IP address of the form 10.<site id>.x.y.

You will have to create the 35 groups Gautam. But the groups can be auto updating for new devices. (choose dynamic)

This can be on SNMP location (in the hope this is filled in correctly)also create a group for devices without a location or where it doesn match any site.

Or on IP range.

But does it mean that after i create 35 groups, do i have to pull inventory report 35 times or can i pull out the inventory report

just once and it will give me a list of devices under each device group?

I don't think LMS does any intelligent grouping. So indeed a report per group  I'm afraid.

You can however try to select a group that contains multiple other groups or select multiple groups, either in custom groups or subnet based groups.

If that does give the report you what you want let us know
