Smart Software Manager on Prem: WebUI Certificate lost on Upgrade

Hi everyone,

Just upgraded Cisco Smart Software Manager on Prem form 8-202004 to 8-202006.

Unfortunately the WebUI Certificate is lost.

So I need to generate a new request an need to order a new certificate.

Have not found any bug about loosing certificate, when upgrading.

Is this a usual behaviour at every upgrade ?

Anybody also had this problem.

Hi Alois,

My problem is even worse: I am loosing the Browser Certificate (I assumed your WebUI cert) every time I reload the server.

Of course the cert is signed by my CA and the CA cert is was uploaded to the SSM repository

I wanted to open a new discussion but I hope the solution will cover both problems.

Hi Alois,

I opened a SR with that problem description and here is what I received:

We are hitting a known (sev2) defect : CSCvu83039 CA signed UI Cert disappears on release/8-202006 after reload

The defect is scheduled to be fixed in the next release 202008 which is expected by September end.

I hope the update will solve yours, too.
