Hi,
Is there any way to force a switch to only send linkdown traps for specific ports?
Do you just disable linkdown snmp in the global config then enable it on the port?

Switches are typically easier because you have the interface range command. Additionally, with a tool like CiscoWorks Resource Manager Essentials, you can deploy this change across a large number of switches quickly.

Other way around. Enable the traps globally, then configure:
no snmp trap link-status
Under the interfaces you do not wish to send traps.

thanks,
should be fun on 100 switches.
Our network mon app keeps getting false critical because of the access ports.
