Hi,
I have several switches 2950 and sometimes they give this message error:
Cat2950Family 10.0.0.1 SNMP SVCDOWN at 12:04:11
Status: Active and responding ( 0)
and after this it gives:
Cat2950Family 10.0.0.1 SVCUP at 12:04:35
Status: Active and responding ( 0)
does anyone knows what may be causing this problem?

verify the settings of your map --> Edit --> Preferences,check the poll frequency.

Looks like a monitored service on the device missed a poll. which application are you using to poll the 2950?
