When devices on our network lose power or reload for whatever reason, we are losing our v3 snmp command to what seems to be a default value inserted by the devices. when this happens, we lose reachability with ciscoworks, and it requires we go back into the device and reapply the command below.
the command we are using:
snmp-server group $$Value$$ v3 auth
the sh run command after a reload:
snmp-server group $$Value$$ v3 auth notify *tv.FFFFFFFF.FFFFFFFF.FFFFFFFF7F
we have tried placing strings at the end of our snmp command, to see if we could stop the default placement of the *tv string to include
read, write, and notify strings with no success. we have noticed that the devices are also placing v1 and v2c snmp groups with the *tv string in the notify field, on every reload.
Thank you for your help!
