Suppressing specific syslog (buffer) messages

Marcel_Voigt

Hello everyone,

I'm desperately trying to filter some syslog (buffer) messages on WS-C6509-E, IOS Version 12.2(33)SXJ6.

In detail:

I'll try to filter "Mar 20 12:00:06.485 MET: %ILPOWER-7-DETECT: Interface Gi1/22: Power Device detected: IEEE PD"

because the device doesn't support POE and therefor logging those events seems pointless to me.

Is there a smart way to do this? Maybe with logging discriminator which I never used until today.

(Note: Buffer logging leve is debugging as requested by our customer)

Appriciate your time and answers, regards

Marcel
