I connect the switch сisco to the microtic router. The Internet works fine on a machine connected to a switch cisco. But the switch is not visible in the list of connected devices, and i couldnt see its ip.
I connect the switch of a cisco to the switch of a cisco. There is an entrance to the main switch by ip address. I go in, and I do not see the connected switch. But the Internet on the connected switch is there, the IP address is.

The question is, how to connect to the switch, maybe there are some programs to connect to the mac address? Or only through the web interface?
Then another question is, what is the address of the web interface. I can't look at it on the main switch, the connected switch is not visible in the list of connections.

Switch is working properly, I tried it on 4 switches, it is the same everywhere

Hello,

can you post the running config of one of the Cisco switches ?

Hello. Unfortunately, this is the problem, I cannot log into the cisco.
I don’t want to reset the settings in the cisco, I thought maybe you tell me the correct answer, how its posible to login into it, without reseting settings

Hello,

what switch model is that ? Most switches have a web GUI and a default IP address with which you can access the GUI.

model sf200-24

model sf200-48p

If i reboot them to default settings, how to access the gui?

Do you got the solution as i also work on a project and want to get that answer. I asked my professor but he gave me this assignment and now i am looking for answer and still can't get on internet. Surf different sites but still can't get anything.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, I cannot log into the cisco. Is there a way around to bypass the reset option cisco, I thought someone can tell me the correct answer. I tried looking for the answers on medium, quora, and other blogs, but couldn't find a solution.

Apparently the OP was using sf200 switches, which I do not have experience with. It is not clear whether others who have joined the discussion are using that model or are using something else. If we knew more about the environment we might be able to provide better advice. But based on the little that we know I have these suggestions. There are basically 2 ways to connect:

1) use a network connection. This might be telnet, or SSH, or HTTP/HTTPS and uses connection to an IP address on the switch. Since we do not know the IP on the switch this approach will not work.

2) connect to the console port. This typically uses a special console cable and provides CLI access to the switch. Not sure if sf200 supports this but it is the best that I can suggest.
